On Saturday 4th July 9 children attended the museum to complete their SS Great Britain project.
To start the group gathered in the 1982 room to listen to a 40 minute talk all about the ss Great Britain. The group made notes form the talk and the information packs provided. From their research the children created their own write ups. After the writing was complete, the group then drew models of the ss Great Britain.
Once the research and drawings were complete the group headed to the Reading Room where they made flags for a model of the ship, kindly made by Brian Summers.
Thank you to the Past Finders youth group for all their hard work.
Make sure you come along to see all their hard work! This will all go on display for the 50th Anniversary in the foyer on the 19th July.
