Christmas Lights

We love a community event here at the Museum and we love Christmas even more! One of the most wonderful times of the year is the switching on of the lights at the Dockyard.

Every year, Santa takes time out of his busy schedule to come and visit us here and give presents (kindly donated by the Chandlery Supermarket) to the children. He then nips off on his sleigh and leaves us to serve the mulled wine, cook the barbecue and sing carols (badly). When it's dark enough (about 10pm) we ask the winners of that year's Falklands Ball to do the honours and press the Big Red Button!

A massive thank you to everyone who helps us in anyway for this event year after year. Your help is greatly appreciated!
